Build the basics. Keep moving forward.
For kindergarteners and older, our Step system groups students by skill level, with grade-based groups available at several levels. Students practice foundational movements and build toward more advanced skills.
New students begin in Step 1 or contact us to arrange an evaluation for higher placement. Returning students can find their class recommendation in the Parent Portal.
Progress you can follow
Students advance as they demonstrate the skills required for their next level. Class changes are discussed with the instructor, manager, and family. Progress reports are provided every seven weeks, with a final report in May recommending placement for the following year.

Focus on the flips.
For students who want to learn or improve tumbling skills, these classes focus on trampoline and tumbling without bars, balance beam, or vault. They’re also an option for dancers and cheerleaders looking to develop their tumbling.
Intermediate/Advanced Teen Tumbling gives older students opportunities to refine technique and work on new skills + drills.
T&T 2 and T&T 3 require an instructor recommendation. These are youth classes; adults should visit our Adult Gymnastics page. Not sure which level fits? Contact us for help choosing.

Before Your First Class
Can we try a class?
Trial classes cost $25. That fee is deducted from tuition when you sign up. Contact us to arrange a trial.

Start with your child’s age or grade, then check the class level. Returning students can view their recommendation in the Parent Portal. For higher-level placement or help choosing, email flippersgym@outlook.com or call (201) 327-3547.
What should students wear and bring?
Wear form-fitting clothing, such as a leotard or fitted top and comfortable bottoms no longer than the ankle. Students participate barefoot, without tights. Tie back long hair, remove watches and dangling jewelry, and bring a water bottle.
Not sure which class to choose?
Can I stay during class?
Parent + child classes include adult participation. For other classes, lobby space is limited and there is no parent observation room. We encourage drop-off and pick-up without remaining in the building. Parents of students ages five and under may stay to assist with bathroom needs.
Is there a minimum class size?
Yes. All classes require at least three students to run.
Where can I find prices and policies?
Visit Pricing for tuition and membership information, Calendar for class dates and closures, and Policies & Handbook for make-ups, payments, and other family information.
